Pectin  is  a  substance  whose  absorption  is  minimal  because  of  its  size, therefore, most  of  it  stays  in the  intestine. MCP  is  a  modified  citrus   pectin, meaning, it  has  been  reduced  in  size, in  order  to  allow  its  full  absorption  in  the  digestion  system.
